Art Club
Art club is an opportunity for art lovers to further explore and develop their creativity and artistic skills through individual and community projects throughout the year. We will explore different materials at each meeting and students are free to explore and create art driven by their own interests while hanging out with fellow art lovers. Fee $10

Battle of the Books
Students form teams, and each team is responsible for reading a list of books. Battles then take place with tournament style brackets between teams to see who knows more about the books. A Davis champion is crowned and moves on to the district battle in March. Meetings will start in December, one day a week after school until 4pm.

Interact Club
Interact Club is the service projects club at Davis. It mirrors the Interact Club at Scioto High School.. This club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Dublin. Davis MS is the first middle school to sponsor a Rotary supported service club, and Karrer MIddle School has also started their own Interact Club!! Davis also has two Rotarians that will support our Davis Club! This club is open to any 6th, 7th or 8th grade student interested in giving service to others! Our projects will give service to Davis, our community, our nation and our world in many different ways! Last year we contributed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Columbus Humane Society, Divine Dignity, area homeless people, Davis NJHS, and Davis staff Appreciation.
WHAT IS ROTARY?
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Dublin has an active Rotary Club that works closely with the Interact clubs at all three high schools, and now Davis and Karrer Middle Schools.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS FOR OUR MEETINGS.
Each month we will hold at least one meeting after school (maybe some during lunch periods as well) to create and implement meaningful service projects that help those in need! Meetings after school will typically last from 3:15 until 4:30. Please arrange for your ride to pick you up by 4:35. Our plan is for most meetings to be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. This is subject to change!
A small snack will be provided at all after school meetings. We ask that you give a one time donation of $5 to help pay for these snacks. Must you attend all meetings? NO! That’s the great thing about Interact. Come when you can!

Davis Singers
Drama Club
Do you love acting, singing, dancing? Or maybe you love to create sets, lighting designs or work on sound equipment? If so Davis Drama club might be for you. Students will spend time creating a musical to perform on the Scioto High School stage. There is an opportunity for everyone to help make this show a masterpiece.

Fiddle Fusion
Fiddle Fusion is a fun alternative strings club open to all Davis orchestra students in Level 2, 7th, or 8th Grade. The group is focused on having fun while learning through performance. A typical Fiddle Fusion practice involves tuning, playing or rehearsing, and an after practice donut.
Practices will be held most Friday mornings at 7:20 a.m. in the DMS band room. The schedule runs from the beginning of September through the end of April. We perform at orchestra concerts, at the DMS Arts Festival, & other Davis events.
There is no fee to join the club, but all students must purchase the Fiddle Fusion shirt.

Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code is a club designed to close the gender gap in technology. This program works to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. They will learn coding, design their own projects, and collaborate with other girls with a similar interest. We will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month, starting in September in Mrs. Lindberg's classroom. This club is open to all Middle Schoolers.

Greenhouse Club
We officially have a greenhouse in the Davis courtyard and we are SO excited to get ‘growing’! In this club, students will be starting from the basics. With research, club members will determine which plants we will be purchasing and planting the following weeks. Students will also be in charge of caring for and collecting data on the Greenhouse plants during their Irish period time. By documenting the growth process, students will learn exactly how to care for each individual plant. Any produce harvested from our plants will be donated to our very own “Davis Food Pantry”! This food pantry provides shelf-stable meals for Davis families in need. Our goal is to supply these families with a variety of fresh produce. This club is a great opportunity for students to gain experience, have fun, become one with nature, and serve our very own Davis community!

Junior Teen Institute (JTI)
Thank you for showing interest in the Junior Teen Institute! This club promotes positivity and leadership through peer discussion, games and activities. Together, we will create ways to make our school and community a better place. We take pride in living a bully-free and substance-free lifestyle and want to share with our Davis community how to have fun and serve others in a positive way! If you would like to help make a difference at Davis, JTI is the club for you!

The yearbook offers a chance for students to work with staff and students from different grade levels in developing the yearbook. Students learn to organize and format a yearbook for sales and distribution. Photography, journalism, and marketing skills are developed throughout the school year.
This club is designed to develop students’ skills in yearbook production by providing experiences in selected aspects of yearbook production. Students learn basic principles of yearbook production and develop skills that include writing captions and headlines; digital photography; desktop publishing and using appropriate technology tools for media production.
The school yearbook will be completed by the beginning of May. You will also contribute to the marketing and sales of yearbooks in the spring.
